I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I go to a college and program I enjoy and can see a future for myself in. I got away from home, and made a new one in Grand Rapids. I am selling my cards in a professional setting. I have my friends and room-mates, Kayla and Andrew. And my friend Samantha. I’ve gotten the chance to read a lot lately and have new wonderful experiences. I went to the Meyer May house in Grand Rapids, a house designed by Frank Lloyd Wright that has been extensively restored, and is maybe the best example of a Wright restoration. That visit put some things into perspective for me. Also, I have had the courage to tell my parents, well, my dad, all that has actually been going on with me. I would call this year a success, even though there were many rocky starts.
I love architecture. I just found out that one of the professors at Kendall has his degree in architectural history. My reaction was something like, “That degree is amazing, where do I get one of those?”
